
The Medical Microbiology specialization focuses on the advanced study of infectious diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites, Immunology, General & Applied microbiology. The course integrates traditional culture methods and automation in microbiology with modern molecular diagnostics as prescribed by the National Commission NCAHP. Students gain specialized skills in Systematic Bacteriology, Medical Virology, Mycology, and Infection Control, enabling them to play a critical role in disease surveillance and outbreak management including critical thinking, and research skills through the mandatory dessertation thesis.

Candidates must have passed Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) or an equivalent degree on regular mode from recognised university. Admission on the basis of entrance exams organized by the University.
