Smt. L. P. Patel Institute of Allied Health Sciences and Technology is a constituent institute of Bhaikaka University, Karamsad (earlier known as Smt. L. P. Patel Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology & CAM Institute of Allied Health Sciences and Technology), functioning under the aegis of Charutar Arogya Mandal. The institute provides clinical training at the university’s constituent teaching hospital — Shree Krishna Hospital, a 1000-bed NABH-accredited multi-specialty tertiary care hospital with an NABL-accredited Central Diagnostic Laboratory located within the campus. Through this unique hospital–academia integration, students gain extensive hands-on experience in real clinical settings across various specialties such as Cardiac Centre, Cancer Centre, Critical Care Centre, Diagnostic Centre, Blood Bank, Imaging Centre, and Dialysis Centre. This exposure helps students develop strong professional competence, confidence, and ethical values essential for quality healthcare delivery.
The institute offers a wide range of programs from Undergraduate to Doctoral levels in various disciplines of Allied Health Sciences including Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology, Anesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology, Radiotherapy Technology, Respiratory Technology, Dialysis Technology, Dietetics and Nutrition, and other emerging healthcare domains.
